90-DAY LIMITED WARRANTY
This product is covered by a 90-day limited warranty for parts and labor against manufacturer’s defects.
The warranty covers defects in the motor, battery, motherboards, gyroscopic sensor, lights, and controller.
Here are the conditions and responsibilities outlined in this warranty:
The manufacturer’s warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
The warranty is valid for products purchased through an authorized retailer, specifically generalscootershop.co. It does not cover purchases from private sellers, online auction sites, liquidators, clearance or going-out-of-business sales, or products sold “as-is” or “final sale.”
The warranty period begins on the date of purchase, not the date of first use. Proof of purchase, in the form of a receipt, is required for warranty claims.
The warranty does not cover products that have been physically abused, improperly installed, modified, or repaired by unauthorized third parties.
The manufacturer reserves the right to repair or replace the product at their discretion.
The manufacturer is not responsible for failures resulting from accidents, abuse, misuse, unauthorized repairs, modifications, or disassembly.
Here are the applicable conditions for warranty coverage:
The warranty does not cover damages caused by overcharging or improper maintenance of the lithium-ion battery.
Consumable parts such as tires and charge ports, as well as easily breakable parts like glass or plastic, are not covered by the warranty. Normal wear and tear is also not covered.
Marginal differences in appearance and workmanship that have a negligible effect on the product’s usability are not covered. Damage caused by chemical or electrochemical effects, water, moisture, debris, or abnormal conditions is also not covered.
If the product cannot be repaired within a reasonable time or cost, the manufacturer may exchange it for a replacement product of equal or greater value. Replaced or exchanged products or parts become the property of the manufacturer.
Any repairs or modifications made without written consent from the manufacturer void the warranty.
The warranty is void if the product is equipped with unauthorized additional parts or accessories.
The use of chargers other than the one included with the product, or chargers intended for different models, voids the warranty and poses a fire hazard.
Exposure to water, moisture, mud, dirt, or debris voids the warranty.
Warranties activated for replacement parts do not extend the warranty period or trigger a new warranty period. The warranty period for replacement parts ends with the warranty period of the entire product.
Claims for replacement due to damage to the exterior of the product, except when there is an obligatory legal liability, are excluded.
We are not responsible for any accidental, indirect, or consequential damages that may result in usage restrictions, data loss, loss of earnings, or business interruption.
If you have purchased an extended warranty, please contact the retailer from whom you purchased it for assistance.
To assert a warranty claim, please contact the Bytech Service Center by visiting generalscootershop.co. Bytech will make an effort to diagnose and resolve your problem. In some cases, photos and/or videos may be required to properly assess the issue and confirm warranty eligibility. You will need to provide a copy of your receipt or online order confirmation showing the purchase date. Bytech reserves the right to verify purchases with the retailer and/or asset protection databases. Warranty claims will be denied if the receipt is invalid, cannot be verified, or if the item has been returned or exchanged.
If a valid warranty claim exists, Bytech may, at its discretion, provide replacement parts or issue an RMA number (Return Material Authorization) for you to send the product to Bytech.
IMPORTANT: Bytech will only accept parcels that have an RMA number.
If an RMA is issued, the package must be shipped within 14 days of receiving the RMA. Failure to do so will result in the package being refused and returned to the sender. If, upon evaluation by Bytech’s technicians, it is determined that the item does not have a manufacturer defect, has been abused, the malfunction is due to water, debris, or moisture exposure, or the item has been improperly maintained, the customer will be responsible for return shipping costs, and no repairs will be performed.
This limited warranty is valid only for products sold in the Contiguous U.S. by Bytech or its authorized resellers. Items purchased in Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico have shipping restrictions on batteries, and we cannot ship replacement units or batteries outside of the Contiguous U.S.
You explicitly understand and agree that, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Bytech’s total liability in connection with its products or this warranty policy will not exceed the amount you actually paid for the product.
Bytech reserves the right to interpret, modify, and amend this warranty policy at its sole discretion. Please note that parts availability is not guaranteed.
